The dolby switch only seems to be connecting if I hold the switch or put pressure on it. I sprayed the cleaner stuff in it and that didn't help. I wedged a piece of plastic by the switch so it is making connection now but sometimes it cuts out when the bass is hitting and I have to wiggle the switch again.

Also, I just noticed when I had some time to really sit down and test everything, the cassette plays as it should and I get sound out of both speakers when in MONO, but if I switch it to stereo I loose sound from the left speaker. Not sure where to start on that one. (correction, now I just tried it again and it is working just fine..... ) But now getting the same sensitivity in the "Tape Sel" modes (metal, Cr02, Normal) switch just like the dolby (on/off) switch.

Can anyone tell me how to use the AMSS selectors on the front of the BBX. Thanks!

I just wanted to say DAAAAAAMN, this box is LOUD! I can never turn it up past 4 or 5 before I start hurting my ears!

Figured out the AMSS, that is very sweet.

The rest is hit or miss, sometimes it works in stereo and sometimes not. :-/

Oh well, works well enough for what I use it for. Thanks anyway.

BTW, this box is a little bigger than the SCR-8 but I am getting a better sound from the SCR-8 - just in case you wanted to know.

It might not be relevant for the 650, but I know on my 720 there was sort of a grounding issue with the main board. It very well could have been a cold solder joint, but I never could find one. It was basically causing the Tape/Radio/Aux switch to act funny and sometimes the box would lose a lot of power.
