I just thought I would share a couple new ones I won Ebay recently.
First this fine Sony CFS-490S mono.
I wanted one of these for a while.
It sounds fabulous! Great bass and highs, and loud!
Dare I say better than the JVC RC550 "IMHO".
It was pretty rough when I got it,but it is still in acceptable condition and fully working now.

Next is this Quasar GX-3661.
It is an a.k.a. of the Panny RX-5600.
It's in very nice condition I would say 8 out of 10.
The sound it put out is very smooth and nice.
It is also fully woking.
I love the vu's it has, they are very active and move a lot.

I would probably agree on that one sounding better than the rc550 lololol. Nice boomers

I had the pleasure of hearing the Aussie Scottys' Sony CFS-490 - just a fantastically great sounding and extremely well built unit. Pity the performance drops a bit when on D cells due to the fact only uses 4 of them!

Congrats, I'd love to add that model Sony to my collection!

nice ones skippy , i agree the rc 550 is not the most sophisticated sounding box but still no slouch for plain loudness when playing it outside .

love the active vu meters on the quasar nothing worse than meters that do little or nothing lol.

that sony is the business....hadtonnes of monos but never that one,ive had it on the to get list for years....well done on getting it,and the quasar is very similar to the panny 5600,and if its even half as good as that then it will be awesome!
