I have been itching for a boombox to paint for the last couple weeks so I decided to repaint one of my first boombox projects...my Blockbuster. Looking at it now I could see several small mistakes that I made at the time. The paint was sprayed on a little thick, my prep work wasn't perfect and there was a small amount of overspray. Since then my technique has signifcantly improved and so have my results. On the original project I took my daughter's advice and painted on metallic purple accents leaving the original silver intact. The project turned out nice at the time and I was happy with my work. This time around I decided to take it back to its original color and also paint the handle and rear case. This time around I am very pleased with the results and it looks stunning in it's original color. here are some before and after pics... :-D

Melvin just proved that time machines do exist and there apparently are do over opportunities in life.

I actually like the 2 tone  .

...yeh, I liked the 2 tone as well so if I ever come across another one it will get the 2 tone paint scheme...but this is my only one so I decided to take it back to it's original color.

Very nice job on an already beautiful GE Blockbuster! I like the GE over the Realistic SCR-8 with those larger diameter woofer silver caps!

Hey Melly, I got a Conion that could use some fresh paint! :-P :w00t:

Great work, looks like new!

Thanks for all the great feedback fellas! Z I hope to find a Conion that needs paint work because this paint matches the C100F perfectly. Hopefully by Christmas I will get one.

i suggest that you find another box and "play" with it asap !!!!

Man, that's impressive - to take it back to what it was! :-O

Almost looks like a brand new box!

...thanks Mono, you still have one of the cleanest looking collections I have ever seen.

Fresh and Dave, thank you as well. I hope my love for boomboxes shows through my work.
