I have been itching for a boombox to paint for the last couple weeks so I decided to repaint one of my first boombox projects...my Blockbuster. Looking at it now I could see several small mistakes that I made at the time. The paint was sprayed on a little thick, my prep work wasn't perfect and there was a small amount of overspray. Since then my technique has signifcantly improved and so have my results. On the original project I took my daughter's advice and painted on metallic purple accents leaving the original silver intact. The project turned out nice at the time and I was happy with my work. This time around I decided to take it back to its original color and also paint the handle and rear case. This time around I am very pleased with the results and it looks stunning in it's original color. here are some before and after pics...
