About 5 years or so ago I was talking with a friend about some of the things I had as a kid and the memory of my long lost Lasonic popped into my head. It had been at least 20 years since I had even thought about my old radio and many more years since I had seen it.
Later that day I searched the internet for boomboxes and found the Pocket Calculator Show. I surfed through the pages and BANG my brain picked out the radio I used to own and like a baseball bat to the side of the head a flood of memories came rushing back.
It took some time for me to find my way here. The first question I asked was "Are the Lasonic TRC-920's hard to find?" and the first response I got was, "No, but they are a very sought after box". A feeling of PANIC set in....I thought "Damn It! I will never get one". But thankfully they made a lot of them and they are plentiful.
Since then I have been enjoying all the amazing information and radio's that I never even knew were built.
My modest collection has grown and will grow some more in 2014...
1,000 posts, 3,000 posts. 5,000 posts.....7,000 posts....where will it end....NEVER I HOPE!
