Finally a cassette haul, it's been a while. Hit 6+ antique malls and nothing... Then hit 2 fleamarkets and Booyah.

Maxell XL II. I remember the first time I got one I thought finally a tape that looks as good as it sounds.

At the first flea where I picked up the 8 in the first photo the oldish gal asked my wife 'he doesn't still use cassettes does he?'. The second flea is where I found the rest of the lot. And yes bobby I tore threw the box!!

I did pass up a Toshiba rt-80s for $9, I've told myself under no circumstances will I ever buy a tone only box again. We'll see how long that lasts :lol:

Holy crap, your right! I hadn't really noticed I had bought a type 1 too, I pass those up when I see them I just don't have the room. Unless they are super vintage or have cool packaging that is...

I like the XLII 90's

never seen type 3 before

but is there really a difference between type I II & III. because i heard that tapes are made from rusty metal
