I totally agree with the Cars' album. It's a shame that Ben couldn't be on the album, because it really does hearken back to the early Cars sound. However, radio stations, at least here, are not even touching this album - probably because the Cars' members are all over the age of 14 and aren't singing / rapping about smacking biatches, smoking weed, and having three-way sex.

Thanks for the heads up on the Night Ranger album. They are one of my favorite rock bands, but I pretty much wrote them off after they released that horrid album "Hole in the Sun". I can't wait to give the new album a listen.

Accept!!! Enough said!!

Totally awesome Chris  thanks do headsup on these... The cars video was totally out of the 80's .... Strange  and I loved the song by night ranger definitely one of my favorite bands from then. Your right about accept being top metal song/ album as I really don't care for new stuff :w00t:

Same thing out here Bobby, All the radio stations play all the classic songs from these bands but NEVER play any of their new stuff. It really pisses me off :annoyed:

They are willing to make a living off these bands, but not give them the opportunity to show case what they are doing today. Total B.S.

These are some great CD's though. The Cars record is KILLER. They nailed it totally. I hate when classic bands try to make "Modern" records. I don't want to hear The Go Go's trying to sound like J Lo or Iron Maiden trying to sound like Slipknot

I swear, if you actually were a Night Ranger fan, then this CD will give you want you want!

And Accept...well, there is really nothing to say.... :chris920:

So, I got the Night Ranger album. All I can say if HOLY S*** that's a great album!!  :w00t: :w00t:  Thanks for letting me know about it, Chris. The production and engineering quality is unfortunately geared toward CDs (i.e. - lots and lots of compression and loudness), but the music is straight up, classic Night Ranger. It has some fantastic double axe solos reminiscent of the old Brad Gillis / Jeff Watson work. These days the solos are performed by Brad Gillis and Joel Hoekstra. Check out the solo work on "Say It With Love". WTF?! How they can move their fingers like that is beyond me! Totally Rockin'!!!!!!

Accept was quality.

Oldschool heavy metal (and even hair metal) was a lot more talented than most of today's junk.

This is awesome! I've had the new Cars CD for a few weeks already - it's pretty good!
Also, don't forget about another 80s band - Duran Duran. They released a new album recently - I dig this video:

I dunno Duran Duran kinda sounded :hmmm: different  definetly not "Hungry Like the Wolf"

You're right! But I personally like it that they came up with something new instead of playing the same music all the time

Agreed. Not sure what's up with the eyeliner though

Glad you picked that up! I have been spinning that disc constantly. It is really good stuff :-D They did mangae to pull off a classic Night Ranger record. I wish Jeff Watson was on it though :-/ But Mr Gillis holds it down pretty good.
