3-5259A DC Polarity

I do not have the original owners manual for the GE Blockbuster so I want to make sure that the center post of the DC barrel plug is positive like it is on the Realistic SCR-8.

If it is not marked on the case, you can check with a multi-meter:
by checking the jack terminal against the battery compartment contacts.
The spring contact on the batteries should be the ground (-), flat contact must be (+).

Awesome. I was able to put meter on continuity. With a barrel plug inserted to engage the internal switch of the jack, I was able to read the ground from it to the RCA jacks. At that point I felt fairly confident.

So it is confirmed. Positive is center tap. It's working great through the DC jack.
