I've seen an original CK 3 with those exact speakers so it may be a different version but those speakers are original.

it is in fact the CK 3 speakers, not original though, but believe me, they sound amazing, so loud, bassy and powerful (12.5 watts rms per channel)
I've hooked up my md player and the sound is really excellent, deep bass, nice mids and highs thanks to the equalizer
it's the best I've heard so far and the first one to equal the JVC M 70 in terms of sound quality and bass power
Of course it's a 5 piece so not a real boombox, it's a mini compo, anyway I just love it, and new in box, it's like return to the future

Well, the rectangular dual cone woofer was a big part of what separates a 3 from a 5. Anyone that is interested in a 5 would immediately recognize those woofers as being wrong for a 5. so this might as well now be a CK3 with improvements in the center section. Unlike the 3 speakers which handles low power, the 5 drivers are able to handle a ton of power. Still it's understandable to mix this up because the original rectangular woofers are almost all rotted out already and finding a source to restore them isn't easy so it's far better to have a working system than not.

I re foamed woofers for these . I know the Originals are supposed to be white. They had some nice size magnets too.

How can we tell they are Pioneers? The center chrome piece looks just like the ones on the stock CS-3 speakers.

Yeah you did the ones on mine Floyd.
I've never seen the car speaker 2 way type that Weboguy's has.
Just the round white type and the square type that Norm is talking about.
I wonder if they really are original?
