Wow, you got that for $2?! It looks awesome! I've seen a few of these and now want one more after seeing your close-up pics. It looks very high quality. I didn't think it would've had separate bass and treble controls, and proper line-in and out. You did great!

Glad I'm not the only one who likes these CRT boxes! Hook up a DTT interface to the aerial socket, play some classic Charlie Chaplin or Laurel & Hardy through the thing and away you go; the second best way to enjoy that guilty secret monochrome open reel video collection. :thumbsup:

I've been looking at one on eBay for ages, it's been through the block at least four times since a year ago, and sadly, the seller isn't prepared to open her up and pack the neck of that tube correctly so it can't safely be sent in the post. Cracking buy for anyone who can collect it though. It's not up just now but worth keeping an eye out for it.
I've never heard a working one but would buy blind because of the way it looks. :drool: :drool: :drool:

hell for 2 bucks thats a sweet box .

i like it . always wondered about these. i agree about the lcd that would be awesome ,better yet a tablet computer. prolly just save the parts so you can put it back the old way if you wanted to.

i think that would make a sweet custom box . prolly even hook up a usb charger for the ipad , plenty of room inside :-)
