I bought this 10 years ago off an old guy. he said he bought it brand new but hardly used it. so it's been in my cupboard for the last 10 years doing nothing. so 2 days ago I decided to get it out and see if it worked..as usual with this old stuff the belt had turned into black sticky glue..after cleaning all that mess off I put on a new belt and gave the mechanical side of it a few drops of oil. as in motor bushes and Capstan..then came the Moment of Truth to see if it works. yes it works perfectly and sounds absolutely brilliant. especially listening to it through the headphones. it's amazing to think that these cartridges are coming up to 50 years old and they still sound great..that's the second eight track player I've got now and over 40 pre-recorded cartridges..it's nice to fire it up now and again and reminisce on listening to the old music..and as it says 8- track stereo the stereo was very dominant on this format
