Picked up a 1956 Motorola 56R Plastic radio.
Works good but I think the controls need some cleaning.
No chips or cracks on the cabinet.
Could use a good cleaning and cabinet polish.

Sweet set! The only Motorola products we tend to see this side of the Atlantic are the car radios, two-way radios and of course their mobile phones so their valve sets are highly sought after here by those who prize rarity above all else.

I have some rare European sets that were never sold in the UK but to date, most of my transatlantic stuff is by Zenith with a couple of Westinghouse "refrigerator" radios that I like mainly because they don't take up much space. :-)
