help needed

Just picked up an old Panasonic RX-ED50 from a charity shop, plugged it in and placed an old tape inside - no idea if the tape was in good condition; now the tape seems to be stuck, it wont play, it wont eject, everything else works - cd and radio - but neither tape lids(?) seem to be opening...

Hi, My Magnavox boombox suddenly has no audio, It powers on and appears functional but just no sound, Nothing coming out of the headphone jack either. It was fine a couple of days ago. Im thinking the amp died, Would something like this be an easy repair? The boombox holds a lot of value to me...
