The only black one I know of that is out there is the one that Melly did. I know BBB had it at one time. I couldn't tell you who has it now.

To me, this is the quintessential 80's Boombox design :yes: Everything my eyes crave. Yeah it was a sweet color Was that Black Crown a custom paint job? Doesn't Mellymelsr have a Black Crown 950? Or 850? The Crown Jewels! Fantastic rebuild!

Over six and a half years later, Dave, did you get the right cassette-deck belts for your Crown CSC-850 while avoiding the ruinous experience of installing too tight a rubber belt (or too tight a set of rubber belts)?

I had to replace belts on Crown CRS 850 when there were no belts on it and had to change it a couple times before getting it right. And superlew is correct that sometimes a belt instead of fully going around a pulley it needs to go to one or other side ;-)
