I don't have the sevice manual. Is very rare. Most of the conponents are made by Matsushita (Panasonic).

Could you compare the 9998 too? My 9998 is strange..... At high volume it pumps out good bass, especially on Line In................But at very low volume, the bass is really weak, weaker than my 9994 and my TPR. :huh: Maybe the speakers are too stiff for low-volume duty.

Melly I only have the 9998, 720, and 920. As for comparison I would have to say its similar to the the Crown 950 :thumbsup: When I take pics of all three Sanyos I will do a comparison to the 720 ;-)

I have the same problem with my Crown 950, makes me upset! :annoyed: Even with my volume all the way down, I have hissing through the left speakers.. and they hardly have music coming out of them compared to the right side..

I know, I'm starting to feel the same way about my M-70. Didn't sound the best, compared to my other boxes, strangely ( and I've had two M-70's.) When there was no improvment in sound when I got the second, I knew it just wasn't ment to be. :thumbsdown: Just like you, too, probably, I look...

My custom black Crown 950. I spent so much time and effort to make it look perfect and I was very dissappointed in the sound and sold it. It is an absolute looker that I wish I never sold. I learned a lesson from that one.

Ok so that's what I thought :yes:

crown 950 = 6.5 inch woofers crown 850 =8 inch woofers crown 850 = bigger / louder .

Here's a quick side-by-side until Bill gets his write-up finished. Opinions seem to indicate that the Crown 850 has better sound than the 950.

Does anyone have a pic of the 850 and 950 next to each other, or ethier or both next to any of the more common midsize sharp gf's would be really helpfull. Thanks.
