Hi there, i am new here so please be kind! I have owned a Crown 850 from brand new in 1979/80 and recently purchased a 950!!. Unfortunately on both of them some of the cassette operating levers are broken. The 950 had been repaired prior to me buying it with a nail 'superglued' into the REC...
I scored a nice Crown CSC-945L from a flea market. Any idea what would be the correct belt sizes and where to get them? I believe the CSC-945 is pretty much the same as the CSC-950.
I didn't find a service manual for the CSC-945, but I did find it for the CSC-950. Unfortunately the scan seems...
Thanks :)
I like labelling so it looks a bit more coherent
Yes, goo is always a mess to get rid of, but I must admit that on the M9998...with its total lack of ease of access...if there is a worldshortage in long, short, twisted,... cotton swabs and isopropanol, that will be on me lol. Dont...
Yes, I've had another Crown950 in the past. I can't remember why I got rid of it but it was probably to clear up some space or to put the money towards another blaster. It even had the protective film on the top plate I was the lucky one to peel off.
Another friend of mine grabbed this...
A friend of mine said there was a guy at his work throwing away an old boombox. He snagged it for me and asked if it was something I wanted or to just toss it....
A Crown950! It's been awhile since any score has come along but this is a great blaster win!
most boes don't sound good from the 70's unfortunately but i can recommend one the aiwa tpr 950.......it aso seems the crown 980 was from the late 70's and i can highly recommend that one too....not sure when the telefunken studio was made, could have been late 70's and is regarded as one of the...
Current project.... Using the acrylic needle on a Crown csc 950 (L) to light it. Silly, pretty useless, and just adding more red to a box that's already red red red and red led-ed, but since it's nearly impossible to light up the tuner dial... (grabbing power from the power to the tuner so it...
You could try a Sharp GF9191 or GF9090, although they go almost as expensive as the M70.
Or a Crown CSC-850, CSC-950, CSC-945, CSC-960
Or a Sanyo M4500 or an M9996
Several months ago our Dutch radio station FUNX used my Crown CSC 950 in their "Lock Down" commercial,
now this same radio is used in a "Rough" TABAC commercial!
Watch here the NEW VIDEO!

Tabac is a brand of fragrance that was...
...called breakdancer BD-8000
But the asking price is so high these days, its hard to find or trade.

check my posts and you'll see many items from my collection! Thanks...
I recently brought home a Crown CSC-950. The (used) box of my youth was a Realistic SCR-8, but when I started looking for a mostly complete unit they seemed hard to come by. Enter a relatively cheap, locally available, "fully working" Crown CS-950.
The box is all there and appears to be fully...
Thanks Bill, I was about to check that and lost the adapter somewhere in the house. I will check that tomorrow. It is weak on sound when the right one blasts. So I loved the balance all the way to the left and checked it and found the volume was slowly increasing, but weak.
Royce is channel weak with Headphones too? My crown950 had channel issues to. Turned out headphones jack was messed up and traces going to one of the speaker jacks were bad.
