    JVC M71

...The humming could be the transformer. Is it a quiet hum or really loud? I have no idea why the player won't stop. I've had and sold both an M70 and M71 but it's been years so it's tough trying to remember the inner workings of them. Be careful with these sliders. Because they're on the top...

Correct wiring of the amplifier board for the JVC RC-838L

My problems to solve are numerous: Amplification does not work The MODE SWITCH switch is out of order, the 4 positions are not present. Mine is tinkered with shunts. I will replace it with another from a JVC RC-M70 The 3 BIPHONIC LEDs are off The VOLUME and BALANCE potentiometers do not work.

DIN input (European) on jvc RC-series-can the resistor be replaced by a trimmer?

Thanks Super-duper, you re right (of course). Figured out as much, they did put resistors / caps etc in for a (good) reason. The 555 I ve got is a "messed with" one, specs are not as service manual says, things have been bridged, and it's particular din on this particular device seems to have a...

DIN input (European) on jvc RC-series-can the resistor be replaced by a trimmer?

...jack but rather become a smartphone input jack. BTW, @H3NK3L you must be looking at different service manuals than I am. I checked the M70 and RC-555 service manuals and the input resistor on line-in is only 27k, and the M80 is like 56k. Not sure where you are getting 1M. The only time...

DIN input (European) on jvc RC-series-can the resistor be replaced by a trimmer?

...saw you schematics - I looked at the wiring diagram (the pcb and the components and where they go on mine) . So far I only had this issue on JVC m70 / JVC RC-555 / JVC M60 / JVC M80 and some other jvc rc-series. Fysically on the PCB they all have resistors (1M value) between input pins. 1...

    Boombox Dreams

Not the first time I have had a dream about one of my radios. The first one was my M70 after Superduper repaired the tone board alps sliders. I dreamt someone who wasn't familiar went to adjust the volume and turned the slider caps instead of sliding them. When I went up to it, they were a...

...side that wasn't working. You can see the idividual "fingers". One for each channel. The plastic nylon slider has tiny stems that, after the metal feeler is placed down on, they melt to hold it in place. After a while those tiny plastic retainers break off and the finger simply falls off. M70.

    JVC M70 cassette play problem

Gents, I have a M70 that fast forwards and rewinds perfectly. However, when you press play on a tape, the button depresses fine, but pops up after a second or 2 and the tape doesn't move at all. Any help is appreciated.

Sanyo M-X720k smashed power supply boards FIX

Initial testing shows that the output on AC is about 20.7VDC. (The Sanyo M-X720k is a 15V box). This compares almost identical to a JVC RC-M70 chassis that I had lying around open, and that tested to be 20.6VDC. Frankly, this is the transfomer that I recommend. I've also used this same...

it may have been sold in 81 lad as i have seen motors dated 81.....i think the m50 is the model linked to the m90 and the m70 has nothing to do with them as it was an earlier model

    1981 JVC RC-M50JW/C - First Boombox

There are two things I love about it no balance control and no miserable sliders so you got it made with that one. Plus I prefer the looks over the M70 .

    1981 JVC RC-M50JW/C - First Boombox

If anything I prefer the M50 because it's like having the M90 and the M70 makes together besides you have 90 didn't come out till 1982 so this one was really one of the first boomboxes that look like an m90.
