Hello friends ,I have been scratching my head on this one .my stereo led wasn't working when I selected the stereo switch on and back off nothing I delt with this before on many but was wondering on these type of Toshiba radios. So when I adjust the radio potentiometer that controls the signal for the led to come on I get that too work on all of them ,mono stereo 1 and ll. I know when you select mono the light should go off but for some reason on this and another Toshiba radii I have they seem to stay on I can here the difference in sound when selected on all three setting but was wondering is this normal for these types of radios to have the stereo led also on when switched to mono? I figured not but it works and sounds fine just baffling I can adjust the stereo potentiometer to go off cause they drift over time but led won't go off when mono is selected I can hear the mono sound but stays on any idea ic and ic modulation chip is going? Thanks

It is only supposed to come on in stereo mode. Your stereo mode switch might be malfunctioning, or the MPX IC could be faulty, or the circuit might have a fault.
