film industry. Or is that fluff I'm thinking of?
Beosystem10 said:Not here they haven't, using pressurised water to blast the amalgam out of our teeth is a new and exciting development! The name still confuses me though, where does the term "floss" come in? I thought that was something to do with the specialistfilm industry. Or is that fluff I'm thinking of?
Either way, I'm being spared the effort of reporting on how well the new gadget comes packed as the seller has run out of stock and I've been refunded. Ah well, back to the toothbrush then. At least while I devise a way of fitting my head in the ultrasonic bath at work.
but surely you must have a word for it. This machine does the same job, but better.I'm no more English than the Pope or JFK. The current avatar should be the clue there..Reli said:But you know what dental floss is, right? The string you push between your teeth? What do you call it over there? Granted, England isn't known for their dental carebut surely you must have a word for it. This machine does the same job, but better.
I do stay slightly to the English side of the border (but about 50 miles North of Hadrian's Wall) much of the time but that's only because it's handier for road links to more of the campuses I work in than my place on the Scottish side, which is simply a but 'n' ben that allows me to maintain voting rights in the nation of my birth. As for dental floss, I have now looked that up
, I'll stick with the brush for the time being.
Yeah, Scots folk view the States and Canada in much the same way
. As for Wales, feel free to laugh at its expense - their parliament is even less competent than PÃ rlamaid na h-Alba and that English shower of t**ts combined. Here a thought: We'll swap you something called Nigel Farage for a crate of these flossers on a sale-or-return basis, 250V compatible please, and make sure you pack them well.Considering the fact that most American's don't even own a passport, as a proud Glaswegian even I would be willing to let that one slide......Reli said:England, Scotland, same thing to us lazy Americans.Only some silly rivalries and legends separate you.
Who was that dude that pulled a sword out of a rock, anyway?

So here's my $119 Lasonic TRC-920, a little injured, but ALIVE and KICKIN!That sucks man...I know the feeling. I experience the same When I bought one of my Kabooms... when I picked up the box from fedex I could feel the kaboom moving all over the place inside the box...So I took a picture before opening the box.... I just knew something was wrong...and as soon as opened it....there it was...a broken duct from the boombox :annoyed:.SLO said:Last night I received my Lasonic TRC-920. It was a Buy It Now, and the only issues BEFORE shipping were:
1. Missing the handle
2. Missing battery cover.
3. Missing the chrome knob for the Normal/Cro2 function.
The cassette deck, line in, and radio all work great, the chrome is in good shape as well.
But thanks to a flimsy box, one layer of thin bubble wrap, a few foam peanuts and random pieces of styrofoam, it got a little beaten up. OUCH.
