Hello all,
Picked up my second 5100SL today (first one ended up smashed to bits after an unfortunate mishap).
Everthing works on this unit except for the EQ, I've took it apart, reflowed all the solder connections and still no joy. The weird thing is the sound is pretty good.
It looks as though the signal runs through the EQ before the output (when I desoldered the EQ off the main board there was no sound) so the signal path is good. EQ sliders are all giving me resistance. could it be bad caps that could cause it not to work or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Also, the was a green wire soldered from one part of the main board to another but it fell off just looking at it and can't figure out where it went. Does this have anything to do with it?
Cheers in advance
