Looking at the previous threads in this topic I saw mentions of a 3D Printed gear. But a file was never sent and no gears are coming up in my searches on 3D printing file sharing websites. Does anyone have a file I could print to fix my TRC-931?
I posted links to ordering a replacement gear here but nobody gave any feedback.
The cheapest material is a really strong nylon material which should be adequate
There's also many metals available but they cost 5x more, and would be tougher to ream out any overprint if it won't fit on the shaft.
JB Weld worked great when I put mine back on after removing it for modeling, still works fine.
Obviously, the original setup was a poor design to begin with, is why the originals are all broke. The fellow said his kit were breaking because the people who installed them were unclear how to install them properly. I suspect that if they were printed using a tougher material, they might...
