This story starts with an auction (#290180209979) for a Conion C-100F boombox listed by 2short411 on eBay.
The auction was ended early because the seller got his/her feelings hurt. This is a quote from the old auction:
THIS AUCTION HAS BEEN CANCELLED BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE WHO ENJOY "WATCHING" THIS AUCTION AND ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT ACTUALLY BUYING..... THEY ARE WASTING BOTH MY TIME AND THEIR TIME ALSO. I WILL NOT ACCEPT OFFERS AFTER THE AUCTION IS OVER SO DON'T BOTHER CONTACTING ME....YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE**
Since that time, JLF at stereo2go.com (eBay ID jeffreyfast) has listed a Sharp GF-919 that has been totally refurbished by a professional technician. 2short411 contacted JLF and basically called him an "idiot" and said that those boxes are available in China for a "dime a dozen." In addition, the starting bid of $600 was too high. Keep in mind that 2short411's starting bid for the broken-down, piece of crap Conion was $650.
Yes, his/her Conion is a piece of crap. One missing antenna - the other is broken, missing aluminum trim, one tape deck doesn't work, missing cassette door, and missing tape tray. Who in their right mind would even consider paying $650 for that?
So, now, 2short411 has relisted the Conion and has been kind enough to knock off $25 from the starting bid - now at $625. Here's a link to the new auction

I contacted 2short411 and expressed my opinion of the situation based on JLF's experience with this person and the complaining (whining) that 2short411 does in the listing.
The following is what has transpired between me, eBay ID mr_harvey, and 2short411.
mr_harvey: So, why are you going to complain about the US Dollar's conversion to Canadian Dollars? You had the chance to specify Canadian Dollars when you listed the item. Besides, these things are a dime a dozen in China and your starting bid is way too high.
2short411: Go buy one in China then you arrogant Stupid SOB! You could not even afford to pay for a pocket radio...lol CHEAPSKATE MORON!

Let me get this straight. You refer to a good friend of mine as an "IDIOT" for trying to sell a boombox, which by the way is in much better shape than yours, at a supposed too high starting price. Yet you list your broken down piece of crap (missing door, missing tray, missing antenna, tape deck doesn't work, missing trim pieces, geesh!) at an even higher starting bid! The only "IDIOT" would be the person who bids on your auction.
Are you going to get your feelings hurt again and end the auction early because everyone is only "watching"?

I in turn referred to 2short411 as...well...I never called him/her a name and actually never referred to him/her at all directly.
Sounds to me like the actual seller of the Conion is the son of 2short411. I sure would hate to think that there's a woman in Canada with that kind of mouth and temper.

A reply to another comment on the auction from JL in Sunny Florida:Nasty hate mails? 2short411 drew first blood - not me. It now seems that anyone who complains about the high starting bid is a moron who doesn't have the cash to buy it in the first place. Yet the seller is stating specifically that he/she doesn't have enough money (cash) to buy Christmas gifts. Exactly who is the moron in this case?
Thanks man! I've received some real nasty hate emails from a couple (morons) who don't have the cash to buy so it's nice to hear from a more positive and normal person. This is the 3rd one i've owned and i do hate to sell it,but i'm trying to come up with extra cash for Christmas. On the other hand i don't mind keeping it either because there are less and less of these showing up every year on ebay. Cheers man and thanks again!

I just received an e-mail from someone stating that I could press charges against 2short411 for hate speech. Unfortunately, I don't think that U.S. law transcends international borders. It was a good idea though. "Faggot" would have been the clincher whether it applied or not.

Da da da dahh!! 2short411 has called in the cavalry. Two of his "friends" have e-mailed me about my "hateful website" - nevermind that 2short411 spewed such vitriol like "son of a bitch" and "faggot".

Well, it's been quite a while since I've heard from my dear friend 2short411. That, boys and girls, is because he has been leading a double life. You see... he is also known on eBay as "real-estate-items." Gasp! Isn't that sort of thing prohibited on eBay?

Friends, I have some bad news. The transmission has gone bad in Michael Garrett's van. Even though he has stated previously that he will be keeping the Clairtone for himself "NO EXCEPTIONS," it seems that he has lied to all of us once more. Why, oh why, Michael? He seems to be a man of his word, at least when it comes to banning numerous people from ever bidding on his "minty" boombox (which still has problems as stated in the description).

Well! What do you know! It seems that some fool and his money finally parted ways and it only took 2 hours 42 minutes and 41 seconds. Hmmm... in all honesty, ol' Mike probably had a friend "buy" it so he could list it under another eBay ID. You have to watch out for those Eastern Canadians! They're sneaky like that. I say this exact same boombox will be relisted again before the end of October.

Boomboxery lost a great member, Gordie (gsbadbmr), because of this psycho Mike Garrett. Gordie and Mike are both in the Montreal area and know of each other personally. Shitsack Mike Garrett has gone so far as to threaten physical harm to Gordie's wife and young son. Not cool. What kind of person threatens another man's wife and child??! Over a freakin' boombox!!
My best advice to ANYONE contemplating buying from or selling to this clinical schizophrenic is - DON'T DO IT!
