But see, most of what people would call "best/ultimate" is stuff that everyone's heard a million times, like anything by Dr Dre, AC/DC, etc.

Even though I'm younger than most here I still enjoy older classics so I'll shoot a few in here:

1: The Hollies / Long Cool Woman (in a Black Dress)
2: Ram Jam / Black Betty

Which is why I tried to stay away from the most commonly heard songs (cept for Dre and NBN) I tried to pick songs who's beats I like.

We had a DJ in Zimbabwe (Otis "The Flow" Frazier) who would mix house, dance, pop, dancehall, metal, r&b, hip hip, afro pop etc. I get chills thinking about some some of the stuff I heard him do. Hearing an African vocal hook playing over Gypsy Woman is still the highlight of what i've heard at any party or club. Literally made the entire crowd stop for a second and just start screaming.

Edit. Crap, even Missy is quite popular. Regardless, all have nice beats.
